Default Prot weapon sets in gvg?

I have been monking as a RC monk in ha for quite some time, and i notice in gvg they use different weapon sets. I'm not really sure what they use but have a pretty good idea. I would just like one of the better gvg RC monks to tell me what they use when it comes to weapon sets.

Thx.

Spear/Shield Set: +5 energy +30hp/ +10 armor vs. x +30hp
Prot Staff: 40% hct, 20% hsr, +20% enchantments
High Set: +15/-1 energy 20% hct/ +15/-1 energy +30hp

The final set can either be a -5 energy set, a 40/40 prot set, another shield set, or a 40/40 healing set if you have any healing prayers spells on your bar.

The above is accurate, although the High Set should be +15/-1 energy and 20% mod on both weapons.

Other than that, make sure to make all the shields you will need and make sure to have a -5 spear that you can equip if you fight e-denial. A vamp set can be useful to have in your pack too in case someone tries to save you for time kill.

Yup, ur defensive set is what u kite around in or when u take dmg, prot staff is pro to use aegis etc (its mostly used as an aegis staff) but it can be also used for other pre-prots such as guardian.. the final set that isn't mention, you can either A. run a +5 wep with a +12 energy artifcat, i don't really recommend this unless u are very inexperienced with weapon swapping, which if u r.. u need to practice it its essential. but that's ur training wheels, 40/40 prot sets is cool and all for a guardian maybe, but meh.. really its ur preference u can put ur crippled shield set there.. and ur other shield sets in another slot, u can put a 40/40.. a mid energy set if u aren't good at wep swapping... a 25 energy set... a longbow maybe to pull things =P. but yeah.

I personally use 15/-1 +30, but that's up to the user mostly.

Usually when you have to swap to your high set, you're taking a lot of pressure. I'd rather not lose 60 health when I swap. The extra 30 health also gives you more time to swap to a low energy set before you die.

High energy set = when your low on energy, last resort. (unpopular)
Recharge set = for fast recharges i don't see a great point in it.
Spear/Shield = Armor and health, when your taking heavy damage.

I generally run:

Crippling Sword HSR +30hp and +10 vs shield

Crippling +5e Spear and same shield

40/20 20% enchant

High energy set

Sometimes I put a artifact with the HSR sword set and do one shield. I prefer the HSR over a -5e insc, I've tried both and simply won't change.

I just always have my -5 spear on my defense set, it means that much more energy when you're revived, and I personally never cast from it so a +5 wouldn't help me anyway.

Where are you losing 60 health from? Last I checked my 40/40 sets don't have +30hp on them...

EDIT: DUH, defense set. I feel stupid now.

given current meta not bringing -5e set is stupid (and u need to know how to weapon swap). even woh monk should carry one atm. theres really no point in a +5e set right now given you know how to wep swap(using the "esc" key not just pressing F3 etc.) you SHOULD be switched to your 40/20/+20% staff veeeeery often.
